Welcome to the
City of Lubbock!

On behalf of the Lubbock City Council and the citizens of Lubbock, I am pleased to welcome you to the friendliest city in the United States.

Lubbock is truly a unique place to live. We have the best sunsets in the world, a stable economy, and world-class medical facilities. However, the best thing about Lubbock is our friendly, hard-working people.

We all take pride in Lubbock and our world-renowned West Texas hospitality. Lubbock has several unique cultural, recreational, educational, and entertainment venues; from the Buddy Holly Center to the state’s best wineries, and from Texas Tech University to the Lubbock Lake Landmark. Lubbock has a great history, heritage, and culture, and I am certain you too will take pride in Lubbock, a West Texas legend.
